Some of our branches are located in government buildings and require security screening if you are not employed there. Shady Grove is open to the general public, and with CU Service Centers, you can visit over 1,900 branches in the Metro area.

Expanded Branch Access With CU Service Centers Nationwide
CU Service Centers are located in and around the DC and Baltimore Metro areas and throughout the nation.
To find one near where you work or live, please log on to www.cuservicecenter.com or call 1-888-CU-SWIRL (287-9475). AT a CU Service Center you can:
- Make a deposit to your EFCU account
- Make withdrawals
- Transfer funds between accounts
- Cash a check
- Make loan payments, and more.
You will need 3 things to access your account at the CU Service Center:
1. The name of our Credit Union (Energy FCU)
2. Your Account Number at Energy FCU
3. A Valid U.S./State Government issued picture identification with signature.

Note: All members can enter the Forrestal Branch in the DOE Building via the West Entrance, as long as they can provide valid identification and are US citizens. Members will have to go through a routine screening at the security check point, and will then be permitted access to the Credit Union office located at the top of the escalator near the cafeteria.

Note: All members can enter the Germantown Branch in the DOE Building, as long as they can provide valid identification along with an EFCU ATM, Visa, or Visa Debit card. Members will have to go through a routine search at the main gate (which is around the North Entrance), and will then be permitted access to the Credit Union office located near the newly renovated cafeteria (East Entrance).
